The steroid Prednisone can cause various short-term side effects that usually disappear once you stop taking the drug. These include euphoria, insomnia, increase in appetite, diarrhea, leg pain, teeth sensitivity, rash, acne and nervousness. In rare cases, patients may also experience mania. However, other more serious side effects can occur with long-term use so always talk to your doctor before taking the drug.
